Nina Ottosson's Interactive Dog Toy, Spinny Puzzle Review

I have 2 Shih Tzus. One is 5 and the other is 1 and HIGH energy. I needed something to focus his energy on to stop from tormenting my older dog. He does like kongs, but they don't always hold his interest if he has to work too hard for the treats.

I read all the reviews and started with the Spinner and Magic one (red one w/red bones). I took other reviewers advice and started them off easily with the bones upside down. It's taken them a couple days to figure out the spinner one (w/o me having to spin it half way so they can get to the treats). But the puppy has started to figure this one out. And the red one w/the bones...the puppy mastered this in about 2 days (so cute to see him use his paws to move the bones). My older dog isn't really interested in working that hard...he liked it when the bones were upside down and when I spin the other one myself. Plus, the baby is a bit of a bully and unless I have him occupied w/something else, he body checks my older dog to get the treats.

I don't know how bigger dogs are with these 2 particular puzzles, but my dogs love them. I say "Puzzle?" and they get excited. But like other reviewers said, don't leave them unattended, cuz even my 1 year old has thought that the bones themselves would be fun to chew on.

I am looking forward to trying the other dog puzzles for more difficulty.
