I recommend getting your pet familiar with this before flying. Mine did ok, but her sharp kitty claws sliced through some of the webbing. I hadn't cut them for fear she would get loose and be defenseless, but cut your animals claws or they can tear loose. The opening at the top to fit just your hand through was great, I was able to comfort her without getting in trouble!
